Shadowburn runs on the Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a client. If you don't already have one, any clean 3.3.5a WotLK client works — patches are not required.
Open WTF/realmlist.wtf in your client folder, replace its contents with the
line below, and save.
Head to Register and create your login — takes about thirty seconds, no email verification required to start.
Start Wow.exe, log in with your new account, and create your first character.
Welcome to Shadowburn.
